Walk Away

We don’t always get exactly what we want.

We don’t always get to have the person our hearts long for.

We don’t always find what we need.

We don’t always get to where we wish we are..

Perhaps it’s just not how life is supposed to be.

Love comes, love goes.

Love grows in some, dies in others.

Sometimes it gets too much, sometimes too little.

Sometimes it gets uncomfortable.

Perhaps it’s time we learn to let go.

We stop holding on to the past.

We just let things be.

And sometimes we walk away.

Because to walk away is perhaps the best thing.

The best thing we can do for ourselves and for the other person.

It brings us to realization and acceptance.

That sometimes things are just not meant to be.

Things change and people do, too.

Walk away.

Who knows how life will begin anew.

  1. A lot of times, well now, I hear lots of people say, “Love ended because people change.” I think we need to be very careful about saying this. Because we grow, that’s evolution, but it doesn’t have to be an end to relationship. I’d say people grow because they begin to fine tune their standards and boundaries. We live in a boundaryless world. And I’m realizing people need to leave because they weren’t supporting my growth, I had to leave people because I wasn’t helping them grow. Where you’re going isn’t for everyone to come. But don’t let people go because they don’t move and dance like you, if you know what I mean. This post was sure a great spark of conversation.

    1. We grow, we evolve and that involves change. To walk away is to make peace with the fact that everything changes and some things and people are just not meant to be on the same story anymore.
Thanks for sharing your point of view. 🙂
