  1. What did you recently finish reading?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Recently Finished:

The Last Lecture was okay. If you’d read the book for what it is then I guess you won’t be disappointed. I kind of find the author a little bit full of himself but his courage to share his story is admirable. May he rest in peace.

A Dog’s Purpose was amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. It’s a beautiful book. Worth all the tears and giggles.

Currently Reading:

I’ve started with The Story of My Life just the other day and couldn’t continue because of work but so far so good. As for the City of Djinns which I started last night, it’s becoming more interesting every time I turn a page. I think I’m going to enjoy this one.

Up Next:

The Master and Margarita looks as interesting as the book cover so I hope to get to it next. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd was a recommendation from a friend who has recently finished reading it and she likes it so much it got me intrigued.

  2. The Death of Roger Ackroyd is one of my favourite Agatha Christie books. This is what she wrote in her Autobiography about one of the characters, Caroline – ‘I think it is possible that Miss Marple arose from the pleasure I had taken in portraying Dr Sheppard’s sister in The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. She had been my favourite character in the book – an acidulated spinster, full of curiosity, knowing everything, hearing everything: the complete detective service in the home.’

    City of Djinns looks fascinating – I think I might like it.

      So far, I’m enjoying the City of Djinns. Very informative and some parts funny. Let’s see how it goes til the end.

    1. I’ve read mostly the Marple stories and of course, And Then There Were None. I’m more curious now with The Murder of Roger Ackroyd though you found it just okay, wasn’t it exciting/suspenseful/thrilling enough? What’s your favorite Christie book?

      1. And Then There Were None is my favourite Christie novel. I don’t really like Marple stories – I much prefer Poirot ones. However, with Ackroyd, I think I just didn’t find it as interesting or exciting (or memorable) really.
