Hi there, Homo sapiens! Welcome to another WWW Wednesday, hosted by Sam from Taking On A World of Words.
As usual, just answer the three W questions:
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What are you currently reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Recently Finished
As I have mentioned last week, I find The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue a bit slow for my taste but I must say, I’m glad I didn’t abandon it. I enjoyed the last third of the book so much so I’m giving it 4-stars. I also read Pigeons from Hell, a short story and it was a good one, too, so another 4-star read.
Currently Reading
Both What the Wind Knows and The Turn of the Key are interesting reads, so far, so I hope to enjoy it to the end. I thought I could finish them quite quickly but there’s just too much work to be done these days so I have less time for my reading.
Up Next
I hope to start with The Ten Thousand Doors of January soon which I have been wanting to read for some time now. The Year of the Witching was a recommendation, while Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 was an unexpected find.
Have you read any of these books? What have you been reading this past week? I’d be delighted if you share your WWWs, too. Leave a link or share your lists on the comments section so I can check them all out!
I can really sympathise with being too busy/tired for reading and for me blogging, too! Hence my late visit to your post, however I do hope you have continued enjoying your reading when you have had time. 🙂

I have The Year of the Witching on my TBR as well. Hopefully I’ll make enough progress at work that I won’t have to wait too long to get into it. I guess I’ll live vicariously through you until then.😆

So many favorites in this post! I personally loved Addie LaRue, but I do agree that the pace is quite slow and something you have to be in the mood for. I loved What The Wind Knows and The Ten Thousand Doors Of January too (all three are all time favorites) and The Turn Of The Key was excellent too. I hope you will enjoy your books this week and happy reading. Here’s my WWW.

Right, I was about to abandon Addie LaRue halfway through it but I’m happy I didn’t… I am liking What the Wind Knows and The Turn of the Key so I hope to enjoy both to the end… The Ten Thousand Doors of January is up next!!! Happy reading to you, too, Yvonne! Thanks for visiting!😊

I have The Turn of the Key resting patiently on my shelf, as an actual print book…and because I tend to grab the e-books first, for convenience, I have been neglecting it! I must stop doing that now! Thanks for sharing, and here’s MY WWW POST

I am, on the other hand, reading from my Kindle a lot these days, pretty much this year, because there’s really a lot now!

Every one of V.E. Schwab’s books that I have read seems to move so slowly and then….whoosh, the ending is amazing. I think she even said she gets knocked on this fact for all of her books. Some people love it but I have to be in the mood you know?

It’s my first from Schwab and well, I was about to abandon it when I was about halfway through it but I am glad I didn’t. 😊

I really need to read something by V.E. Schwab. I got to hear her talk about her writing at a author’s panel a couple years ago and really liked her a lot. Hope you are enjoying the most recent Ruth Ware book. I haven’t read that one yet, but it is on my list. Mentions of The Ten Thousand Doors of January were everywhere at one point and I remember seeing some enthusiastic reviews. I look forward to learning what you think of it.

Your current reads both look interesting. I haven’t read any titles by Ruth Ware in a while. I hope you get more time to read though. Happy reading.
