Six for Sunday – Books to Get People Out of Reading Slumps

Good day, Homo sapiens. I’m doing Six for Sunday for the first time! Yey!

Six for Sunday is a bookish meme created and hosted by Steph at A Little But a Lot. I’m excited to do this so let’s get started, shall we?

Books to Get People Out of Reading Slumps

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman – This is a fun, touching and heartwarming book with the best characters!

Gone Girl by Jillian Flynn – A psychologically twisted portrait of relationships gone wrong.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green – Beautiful book and I love the sweet and simple love story of Hazel and Augustus.

Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden – I find this book really memorable and special.

The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune – Absolutely wonderful story!

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck – Great classic!

Have you read any of these books? Let me know!

Quote of the Week

Above all, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.

~Fyodor Dostoevsky
